Coalition Built for Texas
March Matters is a statewide coalition working to strengthen participation in Texas primary elections through trusted institutions and everyday leaders.
We bring together businesses, faith communities, nonprofits, and community organizations across Texas who believe that informed participation is essential to a healthy country and a strong economy. Rather than working in isolation, our partners coordinate efforts, share resources, and reinforce one another so that Texans receive clear, reliable, and nonpartisan information where they already live, work, and worship.
March Matters focuses on the elections that matter most and receive the least attention. Texas primary elections determine who appears on the November ballot for most offices, yet turnout is consistently low. When only a small share of voters participate, decisions reflect the few rather than the many. Our coalition exists to change that.
Together, we provide simple tools, clear timelines, and practical guidance that make participation easier and less intimidating. We support organizations at every level, from sharing basic voter education to integrating civic engagement into workplace, congregational, and community culture.
March Matters because leadership is decided in March. Participation matters because our country works best when more people take part. And collaboration matters because no single organization can do this work alone.
